Postmodernist Art
Postmodernist art is a wide variety of art that began in the 1970's and on. Postmodernist art rejected the aesthetics of modern art, which came before postmodernism. Different forms include conceptual art, performance art, installations, and others. Popular postmodernism artists include Barbara Kruger, Cindy Sherman, and David Salle. Postmodernism is a reaction against modernism, defying the modernism standards of a utopian vision of life.
